Kirsten Shu-ying Chen is a poet, writer and producer with her MFA from the New School. She has recently been noted a finalist for the Autumn House Press poetry chapbook prize and a semi-finalist for the GRIST Pro Forma contest. She was also shortlisted for the 2018 DISQUIET International Literary Prize.

Chen produced the Hollyshorts award-winning comedic film “Fruit Detective” and the web-series “This is me trying.”

Chen’s original screenplay “Rebel Rebel” was a second rounder for Sundance’s 2019 Episodic Lab and scored an “8” on The Blacklist.

She is a writer/actor/producer for the NYC sketch team “One Prop Wonder.”

Also, she makes neon poetry.
