Kirsten Shu-ying Chen is a poet from the Jersey Shore living in New York City. She is the author of “light waves” by Terrapin Books, a finalist for the Autumn House Press Chapbook Prize and a semi-finalist for the GRIST Pro Forma Contest and PANK Little Book Prize. A MacDowell fellow, Chen has twice been nominated for a pushcart as well as shortlisted for the Disquiet International Literary Prize. Her work has been supported by the NYPL as well as the Museum of the Moving Image. New poetry can be read in Adroit Journal, Bear Review, Ephemera, Rattle, the NYTimes and elsewhere.
